Dominic Coutts, Sophie Issa and Troy Kunz are inaugural Katameya Dunes Club Champions
The inaugural Katameya Dunes Club championship was contested this weekend, Friday 25th and Saturday 26th November, over the Lakes Course. 46 players competed in the 36 Hole Stroke play event that would decide the club’s first Club Champions.
Dean John led the event after round 1 with a first round 80, played in testing conditions. He enjoyed a 1 shot lead over Taymour Abou EL Kheir and Troy Kunz who both managed 81. It was Kunz that played the best golf on day 2 and scored an impressive 74 gross to give him a Championship winning total of 165. Taymour Abou Al Khier finished runner up with a 165 total after rounds of 81 and 85. Third place went to Mike Kidd on 170.
The first Katameya Dunes Ladies Champion is Sophie Issa after rounds of 85 and 90 for a total of 175. The Ladies Net Champion is Suzie Blaser with rounds of 71 and 77 for a 148 total.
Dominique Coutts is the first winner of the Junior Club Championship with rounds of 101 and 112 for a 113 total.
